Written by in Hobbies

A mouthwatering pork roast, with mashed potatoes and long sting beans feels like a classic Sunday dinner with my family.

  1. Combine salt and peppers in a small bowl, and mince your garlic clove.
  2. Make several small slits along the edge of your pork roast, on either side, and insert the pieces of garlic, then evenly rub the seasoning over both sides of the roast.
  3. Broil the roast for 15-20 minutes, checking often to make certain it's not burning. Flip the roast halfway through.
  4. Combine the water and soy sauce.
  5. Chop one of the onions and place it in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  6. Pour the water/soy stuff into the pot and place the roast on top of the onion.
  7. Chop the remaining onion and spread it over the top of the roast.
  8. Cook for 4-5 hours on high (my little crock pot did it perfectly in 4). The perfect temperature is about 66°C (150°F).
  9. Thicken the gravy by combining 2 tbsp of cool water with 2 tbsp of cornstarch then boil it with the drippings until it thickens.
