An Easy Recipe For Crepes
Instructions
  1. Whisk all of the ingredient together in a mixing bowl until you have a thin batter. The batter should resemble pancake batter, only a lot thinner consistency.
  2. Allow the batter to rest while you preheat the skillet to at least 170°C (340°F). You want the skillet to get super hot, so that the crepes cook correctly.
  3. Add a little oil to the skillet, and pour about a third a cup of butter onto the skillet. Rotate the skillet around to spread the batter as much as possible.
  4. When the crepe begins to brown slightly on the edges, flip it over and cook the other side. All together, it takes about two minutes per crepe.

I tried my first crepes later in life than I would have liked. My cousin served them at her wedding, and they tasted perfect! Many years later, we decided to serve them at our wedding, and they weren’t homemade. I enjoyed them nonetheless, but it would have really blown it away if I’d known this recipe.

Crepes take very little effort to make, and taste absolutely divine. You can put any sort of jam or jelly on them and make a delicious fruity treat. Some people put chocolate hazelnut spread or peanut butter on them too. I love adding strawberries in strawberry syrup, with confectioners sugar and rolling it into a loose burrito. Only your imagination limits what you can do with crepes and toppings.
